Mirandola is honored to collaborate with the Annunciation Cantorum and The Singers for a concert of renewed hope and joy of the Annunciation Community. Each ensemble will present music of different styles and eras, and will join forces together and with the audience for communal singing.

The Yankee Tunesmiths
Oct. 9 - 10, 2026

Mirandola “gets the band back together” in celebration of the United States' 250th Anniversary with a program of Early American music including the shape note and Sacred Harp traditions, early hymnody, folk songs, and the seeds of American bluegrass. And, of course, the wildly popular 18th-century music of some of America's earliest composers - farmers, horse breeders, and blacksmiths by day, amateur composers by night - the Yankee Tunesmiths themselves!

El Siglo de Oro: Christmas in Golden Age Spain

A time of immense creativity driven by a flourishing of the arts and humanities, the Golden Age was marked by the rise and proliferation of some of Spain’s most influential and best-known composers, including Victoria, Guerrero, Encina, and Padilla, among others.Feast on the opulent sounds of Christmas in Renaissance Spain in this program of chants, motets, villancicos, and festive dances, all in the gorgeous and newly renovated sanctuary of St. Gabriel’s Church.

Byrds of a Feather
Jan. 28 & 30, 2027

Some of the most beautiful music from the English Renaissance period was written by William Byrd and his teacher, and business partner, Thomas Tallis. Mirandola teams up with instrumentalists of the period ensemble La Grande Bande for secular and sacred music by Byrd, Tallis, and their contemporaries for works featuring voices, recorders, dulcians, and organ. A program of Catholic and Anglican polyphony, secular madrigals, and dance music from Renaissance England.

Passio
Feb. 27, 2027

Do not miss this opportunity to experience a candlelit presentation of Arvo Pärt's hypnotic masterwork Passio, one of the greatest late-twentieth-century choral works. Among the most performed of living composers, Pärtweaves together a striking blend of choir, soloists, and chamber instruments to deliver the St. John Passion narrative through the composer's signature minimalist style. Mirandola is proud to once again collaborate with the University of Minnesota Chamber Singers and the Chamber Singers of Chesterton Academy for this performance.

The Mirandola Ensemble teams up with early music consort Just Bach Concerts out of Madison, WI, for a joyful program of the music of the Bach family and friends. Works by J.S. Bach, J.C. Bach, J.M. Bach, and Heinrich Schuetz, among others, including chorales that the ensembles and audience will sing together, as well as JS Bach’s famously virtuosic and technically dazzling double choir motet Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied. Come savor two of the Midwest’s foremost early music ensembles together in concert!
